This was a special project for a super special person, my sister-in-law Cindy Culley, but this project has a major backstory!
Here it is: My Dad grew up in the panhandle of West Virginia (USA). During the depression, my grandparents rented rooms in their house to make a little extra money – an early type of AirBnB. (Second picture this was the sign that hung outside the house). Cindy and my brother are moving into a new house in the next couple of months, so my brother asked me to make a quilt top of the sign as a house warming present: Cindy is conveniently an amazing and creative quilter and gets to transform the quilt top into a masterpiece for her new home!
